As
part of our Welfare & Protection Policy every participant, on
becoming a member of Ballymena Lawn Tennis Club, is required to
sign up to the code of conduct.
Codes
of Conduct for Participants
I
am aware that I am representing my sport and I take full responsibility
for my actions. I have read this contract with my parent/guardian,
understand the guidelines set out below and agree to comply with
the following contract.
I agree to:
1. Keep within the defined boundary of the playing/coaching area.
2. Behave and listen to all instructions from the coach.
3. Take care of equipment owned by the club.
4. Refrain from the use of bad language or racial/sectarian references.
5. Refrain from bullying or persistent use of rough and dangerous
play.
6. Show respect to other youth members and leaders
7. Keep myself safe
8. Report inappropriate behaviour or risky situations for youth
members
9. Play fairly & respect opponents
10. Respect officials and accept decisions
11. Show appropriate loyalty and be gracious in defeat
I agree that I will not:
1. Possess or consume alcohol or illegal and performance enhancing
drugs
2. Smoke
3. Engage in sexual activity
4. Use foul language
5. Tolerate or be involved in discrimination of any kind
6. Leave the (sporting event) unless accompanied by a member of
staff/volunteer
7. When on a residential enter any accommodation block other than
my own.
8. Cheat
9. Use violence
NB.
The Sports Co-ordinator reserves the right to send participants
home if they
do not keep to the signed contract. We do hope this will not be
necessary.
