This
week saw a fantastic results for Ballymena junior players
the East Antrim Junior Championships in Larne with winners
in most age groups and Ballymena players dominating finals
day. Congratulations to Ben Millar on winning the U10 boys
and to Rebecca Gray for the U10 girls. In the U12 category
Ballymena was again represented in both the boys and girls
finals. Well done to Claire Hamilton and Andrew Whann for
achieving runner up positions against very strong opponents.
The U14 boys final was an all Ballymena affair with David
McWhirter and Tory Alexander battling out three sets of very
competitive tennis, David coming out on top after some brilliant
rallies and top quality play. Tory went straight on to play
in the U16 plate final and finished the day runners up with
doubles partner Tory in the U14 boys doubles. Well done to
all who participated and with the Ulster
Junior Tournament at The Boat Club coming up things are
looking bright for Ballymena's young players.
