This year it was the turn of the Leinster branch of Tennis Ireland to host THE SUPER SENIOR VETERANS INTERPROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.

This annual event,which is very important in the calendar of Tennis Ireland,was held on 15th and 16th May in the prestigious Greystones Lawn Tennis Club.

The Ballymena Lawn Tennis Club was honoured in having one of it's members,Wilson Burgess,again selected to play for Ulster.

Over the two days,in the various age groups,a total of 96 matches were played. The Ulster squad performed extremely well and pushed Leinster hard for the trophy.

The final scores in points were Leinster 36 ; Ulster 33 ; Munster 19 ; Connacht 8.

Next year these Championships are scheduled to take place in the Province of Munster.
