2011 Annual Club Championships

Ballymena Lawn Tennis Club 15th Annual Senior Championships are taking place during October and November.

On Saturday 22nd October all four courts were in action as two groups battled for the mixed doubles title. The winners of each group met in a very close final with David Hamilton and Hannah Stevens coming out on top against Ian McClean and Weronika Slawinska. The standard of play was excellent with the winners coming from 5-4 down to win 6-5.

Saturday, 29th saw the men's doubles and the ladies doubles.

Saturday 12th November saw the men compete for the Singles Championships. The defending singles champion, Jeremy Whann, slowed down by the weight on his upper lip, found the youth hard to deal with losing out to Barry Clarke in a match that resembled McEnroe versus Nadal.
